The Scholar Alumni Network (SAN) selection pool and its regular members selected six individuals to lead the new organization, last September 11, after a four-hour assessment via Zoom.

Mr. Melton James Fernandez of Cebu Normal University (STEP UP ’17) was selected as the first SAN President. He graduated as cum laude and is currently teaching Senior High School students at the Asian College of Technology in Cebu City. Outside the academe, he is an incumbent Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Councilor in Brgy, Biasong, Cebu City since 2018. 

Among the other selected members of the SAN Executive Committee  are the following: 

• Internal Vice President: Ms. Ana Marie Sala (Cebu Normal University, STEP UP ’17)
• External Vice President: Mr. Florencio Salmasan (University of Santo Tomas, STEP UP ’17)
• Secretary-General: Ms. Melody Ann Loro (Philippine Normal University, STEP UP ’17)
• Treasurer: Ms. Ma. Cristina Perlas (University of Santo Tomas, STEP UP ’18)
• Auditor: Ms. Zaneta Caturas (Western Visayas State University, STEP UP ’18)

A total of eighteen (18) SAN Executive Committee aspirants were assessed based on the content and delivery of their pitches and answers to questions about their selected roles and capabilities. 

The selected SAN Executive Committee will be inducted in the SAN Launch on September 18.
